Welcome to the Dawson County Recruiting page. The information provided here is to help you with the process of college recruiting. Make sure to download a full copy of the guidelines listed below. This is a great way to learn what you and your player will need to do in order to prepare for the college football recruiting process. This process starts your 9th-grade year and continues through your senior year.
100% BUY IN and TREMENDOUS WORK ETHIC on your part is what will help you succeed! Put yourself in a good position to be recruited. Keep in mind, as of 2018, over 1.1 million high school students play football while only 74,000 go on to play NCAA football. That is less than 7% of students eligible to play college football. Start this process early and follow up often. Email aleblanc@dawson.k12.ga.us if you have any questions.
All current Juniors who wish to play college football need to contact Coach LeBlanc sometime SOON to go over information for college recruiting. Also, if ANY PLAYER currently in grades 9th-11th wishes to play college football when they graduate, we have a detailed recruiting guide here on this website that you need to make sure to download and follow all suggestions. You need to be working on this now and not wait until the very end!
Please remember, the coach does not get you a scholarship. All of the above information combined gets you a scholarship! The job of the coaches is to promote and advertise all prospective student-athletes. College coaches come to Dawson County FIRST when they visit North East Georgia because of past athletes who are currently playing in college, the academic success and athletic accomplishments of the program. Make sure you are prepared and have what is needed to be a candidate!!
